Our long term goal at AmeriCani Kennels Inc. is the successful introduction of the Vlcak into the American working dog community.
Although the Vlcak (pronounced "Vuhl-chaak") has wolf like characteristics, it is not a wolf-dog hybrid, but a recognized breed in the Foundation Stock Service. The Vlcak is a relatively new breed in the U.S. This unique breed was created by the former Czechoslovakian government for its endurance and tolerance to extreme climates while retaining the working abilities from the German Shepherds used in the first breedings.
